James Gallagher, age 62, a resident of Spooner, died on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at his residence.

James was born on May 17, 1954, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to parents Jim “Marty” and Audrey (LaBlanc) Gallagher.  He graduated from Regis High School in Eau Claire, and on May 27, 1978, was united in marriage to Carri Forss in Eau Claire.  James began a 30 year career working for the Phillips Distributing Company, now called Badger Distributing, and in 1992, moved the family to Spooner to be more centralized in his territory.  In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and being around friends and family. 

James is survived by his wife Carri of Spooner, son Cole of San Diego, CA, parents Jim “Marty” and Audrey Gallagher of Eau Claire, sister Shelly (Jack) Schulte of Eau Claire, brother Jon (Valerie) Gallagher of Augusta, ME, nephews: Shaun and Noah Gallagher of Maine, and many cousins, extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his infant sister Pamela, and his grandparents. 

A Celebration of Life for James will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017, from 1-5pm, at the Brick House Pub and Grub (formerly the Labor Temple) in Eau Claire and also on Sunday, May 21, 2017, from 1-5pm, at Tony's Riverside in Spooner.  

Memorials may be directed to his family at this time to be dedicated at a later date.
