James Buckwheat, age 58, of Spooner, WI, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Essentia-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.

James is survived by his two sons, Michael (Samantha) Buckwheat, Melvin (Victoria) Buckwheat, both of Spooner; eight grandchildren, Trinity, Sheri, Emily, Christopher, Casandra, Melvin II, Remington, and Airabella; and one brother, Michael Nickels.

He was preceded in death by his father, Duane Buckwheat and mother, Donna Sass.

There are no services for James at this time.
