In Memory of Jacqueline M. Wenzel
Jacqueline Mary “Jackie” (Greene) Wenzel, age 79, went home to Jesus on December 27, 2024.
Jackie was born on December 21, 1945, in Burtrum, Minnesota to Charles and Helen (Nalezny) Greene. Jackie was the youngest of four children. She graduated from Mahtomedi, Minnesota in 1963. She was working as a beautician when she met Curtis Allen Wenzel. In 1969, they wed and raised three daughters: Christi, Kati and Kelli. Together they built homes in Minnesota and Wisconsin enjoying: first home in Lake Elmo, lake life on Wapogassett, owning and operating the Deronda Store, raising beef cattle and horses in Little Falls, views of the tee box on hole #9 of the Amery Golf Course, as well as kayaking, fishing and endless wildlife on the Apple River. Jackie held several jobs within the Amery community; cleaning, painting, wallpapering and working in the Amery School District.
Jackie was full of Faith and shared her trust in the Lord with all of her family and friends. She provided endless love and support to all around her including her husband, daughters and grandsons. Jackie taught us that "God has a plan" and often reminded us to trust in his timing.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Curt Wenzel; daughters, Christi Wenzel, Kati Wenzel and Kelli (Mike) Ingham; grandsons, Walker Ingham, Wyatt Ingham, Westin Ingham, Barrett Beedle and Bennett Beedle; as well as many special neices.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Helen (Nalezny) Greene; brothers, Ronald Greene and Clyde Greene; sister, Delores Long; nephew, Jason Plourde; and in-laws, Clarence and Loretta Wenzel, Wayne and Sandy Wenzel, Loren Wenzel, Neil and Jill Wenzel, Kevin Wenzel, Joe Long and Sharon Greene.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, January 3, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amery, WI. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at the Williamson - White Funeral Home in Amery, as well as one hour prior to the service at the church.
