Jacqueline “Jackie” Lee Kennen Age 87, of Birchwood, WI, died Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 6, 1936 in Minneapolis, MN to Robert and Elsie (Freiburg) Thomas.

Jackie graduated from St. Francis High School in St. Francis, MN. She was married to Bernard “Bud” Kennen on June 23, 1956 in St. Francis. They owned and operated Birchwood Lumber and Veneer from 1971-2011, Tagalong Golf Course for 25 years and Birchwood True Value for 15 years. She enjoyed spending time in her art room - making books, making cards, watercolor painting, stamping; traveling and spending time with her sisters, brothers, sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Kennen, great grandson, Marshall, parents, Robert and Elsie Thomas, sister, Carolyn Stewart, sister Susie Wirz, brother Jerry Thomas.

Survived by her brother Bobby (Pamela) Thomas, brother George (Priscilla) Thomas, brother William (Diane) Thomas, sister Judy Ross, brother Thomas (Lisa) Thomas, brother Michael Thomas; many nieces and nephews. Three sons, Scott (Jackie) Kennen of Rice Lake, Thomas Kennen of Rice Lake, Dennis (Tammy) Kennen of Celebration, FL; grandchildren: Alison (Norm) Kennen of Anchorage AK, Andrew Kennen of Madison WI, Ryan (Lauren) Kennen of Sarona WI, Derek (Tracy) Kennen of Spooner WI, Domminick Kennen of Celebration FL, Sara Kennen of Rice Lake WI, Corrin Hayes of Eau Claire, WI and Jared Barlow of Coon Rapids, MN; great grandchildren: Cole, Jordan, Kameron, Keyan, Brady, Carter, Aedyn, Aria, Jax, Zefram, Calvin, Henry, Ava and Meena.

Funeral Services will be held at 6PM Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI. Visitation will be held from 4-6PM Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals.
