Howard John Heller, age 93 Rice Lake, WI passed away on July 11, 2024 at Vitacare in Rice Lake.

He was born November 5, 1930 in the Township of Chippewa, WI to Edward and Mabel (Pippenger) Heller.

Howard graduated from Menomonie High School. Following high school he served as a United States Marine. On October 1, 1955 he was married in Menomonie, WI to Joyce Alden, who preceded him in death on November 28, 2009.

The two moved to the Rice Lake area in 1977. Howard would work at Farm & Fleet as a maintenance man until his retirement in 2005.

He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce (Randall) Kniess, Connie (Perry) Thompson, Laurie Heller and Lois Heller, all of Rice Lake; son, John Heller of Rice Lake, WI; grandchildren, Rachael Olson, Nathaniel (Grace) Kniess, Charity Quinn, Satech Ladon, Ryan Heller, Maria (Gonzola) Gonzalez; Elizabeth Thompson, Jonathan Heller and Michael Leroy Heller; great-grandchildren, Ashley Benavides, Randi Olson, Rosemarie Olson, Benjamin Zinn, Kara Quinn, Sadie Ladon and Sofia Ladon; great great granddaughter, Charlie Sikorski. Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Heller; and parents, Edward and Mabel Heller.

A visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Friday, July 19, 2024, at Skinner Funeral Home in Rice Lake. A private interment is being held at Teegarden Cemetery in Knapp, WI.
