In Memory of Howard Dearborn
Howard Anthony Dearborn, 50, of Cumberland passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Cumberland Healthcare.
He was born September 28, 1970, in Bloomington, MN to James and Suzanne (Strong) Dearborn, and was raised in Bloomington.
Howie graduated from Bloomington-Kennedy High School and then from Dakota County Technical College with his Electrical Certification. Howie worked as an apprentice electrician for several years in Appleton, WI, and started operating Dearborn Concrete in 1998. Howie and Barb purchased Staples Lake Bar and Grill, which they renamed Buck Horn Saloon. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, time on his Harley, laying concrete, and spending time with his kids and granddaughter.
Howie leaves us to join his father, James Dearborn and his former beloved dog, Buddy. He is survived by his daughter, Alycia (Cody Wendt) Dearborn of Barron; his son, Nate Dearborn of Cumberland; ex-wife and dear friend, Barb Frank; granddaughter, Brynlee Dearborn and his beloved dog, Frank; siblings: Bruce Dearborn, Marvin Dearborn, and Gail Jay; nieces: Ashley, Tina, Samantha, and Alexa; nephews: Dustin, Cory, Casey, Daniel, Hunter, and Maxwel; other relatives and friends, including close friend, Shane Holst.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 1, 2021, and for 1 hour prior to the service.
