Helene F. Olson, (Irwin), 84 of Cornell, Wis., passed away on Monday, May 6th, 2024 at Cornell Health Services.

Helene is survived by her sons: Steven (Karen Kucera) of Wisconsin, Ron (Christine) Olson of Colorado. Grandchildren: Kimberly (Chris) Coupal, Matthew (Rebecca Lucero) Olson, and Ronald A. “Mike” Olson; great grandchildren: Colton Coupal, Cody Coupal, and Rowan Lucero-Olson, all of Colorado. She is further survived by brothers, Richard (Kathy) Irwin of Illinois and Earl Irwin of Wisconsin; sisters, Sharon (Marvin) Vanden Heuvel, Eileen Irwin, and Janice (Gerald) Wittrig, all of Wisconsin. Brother-in-law Fr. Ronald Olson of Wisconsin and sister-in-law Bea Irwin of Illinois. Helene leaves behind many nieces, nephews, family and close friends who meant so much to her.

Helene was preceded in death by husband Jerome Olson, parents, Robert and Bernice Irwin, brothers Robert and John Irwin, sister-in-law Sandy Irwin, and her life-long friend and companion Philip Andersen.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith with Fr. Vijay Kumar Madani officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sheldon. A celebration of life will be held at the Sheldon Community Center following the burial.
