In Memory of Helen Scheps
Helen Dorothy Scheps, age 88, of Almena, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Monroe Manor in Barron, after suffering from cancer.
She was born January 1, 1931 to John and Leontina Hieb. She married A. Martin Scheps on June 28, 1957. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Barlow of Barron and Denise Kostelnik of Claremont, MN; grandchildren, Jennifer Prins, James Kostelnik and Melanie Kostelnik; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Duncan of Tacoma, WA; brothers, Edwin Hieb of Lodi, CA, Willis Hieb of South Dakota and Arnold Hieb of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister.
Funeral services for Helen Scheps will be on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Almena with Pastor Preston Paul officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 Monday morning at the church. Burial will be at St. Matthew Cemetery in Almena.
Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
