She attended Doran, Coomer and Siren schools. Helen was the third elder of nine siblings, Harold (Virginia) Larson, Violet Engebretson, Ethel Harrison, Leonard (Butch) Larson, Gerold Larson, Larry (Joy) Larson, Mary (Gary) Kutchera and Joann (Don) Dahlstrom.
Helen was united in marriage to the late Donald Heenon Taylor on April 25th, 1965. They were blessed with three children, Donald (Karie) Taylor, Frank (Linda) Taylor and Alice (Austin) Denotter. Helen was also blessed with four other children, Roger (Carol) Larson, Richard Larson, Barbara Dahne, Brenda (Dave) Diamond.
Helen worked many years in Minnesota as a waitress. She also worked with glass, making beautiful dishes. She then came to Wisconsin and worked in the bean factory. She moved onto health care where she was a nurse’s aide and worked in housekeeping for Grantsburg hospital and Capeside Cove in Siren. She also worked as a health transporter for the St Croix Tribe. In her later years she worked for Sand Lake township running the voting polls.
Helen enjoyed her life. She would make you laugh or brighten your day by joking around. When she was no longer able to play softball or attend her bowling tournaments, she then showed her love towards her kitty or the visiting wild animals and birds. All were loved, except for the gray squirrels and blue jays who would eat all the birdseed. While making her famous pancakes or cinnamon rolls, she would blare the oldies and dance in the kitchen while singing. On beautiful days, she would be outside tending to her flowers, garden or doing yard work to keep busy.
Helen was a devoted wife, loving and caring mother, special grandmother, best friend and one who would do anything for you no matter what it took. She was always thinking of others. Helen professed her life to Christ. She loved her bible and loved to listen to hymns and readings.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, sister Ethel (Don), and sons Roger and Richard.
