Helen Roessel, age 79, of Minong, WI passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Essentia Health – St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN.

Helen Elaine was born December 11, 1938 in Duluth, MN the daughter of Andrew and Leona (DeMoss) Denninger. Helen graduated from high school in Superior, WI. On July 31, 1962, Helen was joined in marriage to Allen George Roessel in Shell Lake, WI. Helen and Allen moved to Minong, WI where they operated their farm and Helen was a homemaker raising their two children. Helen also enjoyed crocheting, cooking and always looked forward to her trips with Allen to the casino.

Helen is survived by her husband of 56 years, Allen; two children, Gail Roessel of Maple Grove, MN, Keith (Cheryl Woehl) of Dresser, WI; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ken Denninger.

A private funeral service will be held for Helen at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Minong with Pastor Jason Cliffton officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Minong following the service.
