Helen Areta Tofte, 75, of Spooner died Sunday, December 11, 2022, at her home.

She was born September 29, 1947, in Glendale, AZ to Marshall and Mary (Cummings) Manley. She was married in Phoenix, AZ to David Tofte.

Helen worked as a legal secretary at Family Law for several years while living in Arizona and began an online business selling bingo supplies out of their garage on Blue Earth St. while living in Mankato. During her retirement, Helen enjoyed fishing, volunteering at her church and where ever she was needed. Helen could often be found playing card and board games with anyone who did not mind her competitive nature. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband, David; sons: Bill Tofte and Cameron (Jena) Tofte; step-son, Eric Tofte; grandchildren: Christian, George, Marshall, and Coraline; brother, Keith Manley; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her parents: Marshall and Mary Manley; brother, Dan Manley

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Skinner Funeral Home of Shell Lake is serving the family.
