In Memory of Harvey Amans
Harvey Elroy Amans Age 89, of Rice Lake, WI died peacefully on Sunday, May 5, 2019 in Rice Lake.
He was born on March 14, 1930 in Rice Lake to Raymond and Inga (Nelson) Amans and graduated from the Rice Lake High School in 1948 and then entered the United States Army in 1951 and was Honorably Discharged in 1953. Harvey was married to Carol Kritch on November 16, 1955 in Dobie, WI. He did masonry work for Vonasek and Schieffer for many years. Harvey enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing cards and parcheesi, singing, telling jokes, was a great story telling, reading western books, watching the news, Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, eating popcorn and being with his family.
He is survived by 3 sons, Joe Amans of Rice Lake, Randy Amans of Rice Lake and Corey Amans of Rice Lake; 2 daughters, Patty (Roger) Olson of Cameron, WI and Sabrina (Brad) Ward of Rice Lake; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Amans; a daughter, Bonnie Anderson; a grandson, Jeremiah Anderson; his parents, Raymond and Inga Amans.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30AM Friday, May 10, 2019 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Rice Lake, Rev. Grant Aaseng officiating, with interment in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI, where Military Rites accorded him by the Rice Lake Veteran Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM Thursday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church on Friday.
