Gregory Wayne Brantner Age 62, of Birchwood, WI, died Sunday November 27, 2022 at his home.

He was born on August 15, 1960 in Great Falls, Montana to Alfred and Dorothy Brantner.

Greg graduated from Great Falls High School in 1978. He was married to Karen DeVries on September 17, 1991 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Greg worked for Wright Products, Birchwood Lumber and Veneer and was a group leader at Sanmina Corporation in Turtle Lake, WI for the past 10 years. He was also a firefighter for the Birchwood Fire Department for over 20 years. He enjoyed snowmobiling, times at the family cabin in Montana growing up, fishing, camping, boating, smoking and barbecuing meats on the grill, having a good cup of medium dark roast coffee and being with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Brantner; a son, Josh Brantner (Jackie); a daughter, Amber Brantner (Tim); 2 brothers, Gary and Mike Brantner; sister, Wanda Gordon; 2 brothers-in-law, Louis (Lori) DeVries and Jim DeVries; 2 sisters-in-law, Cindy DeVries and Cheryl (Bert) Wheeler; many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ron; and a sister, Laurie.

Funeral Services will be held at Noon, Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI, Rev. Timothy Jerry officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Birchwood, WI. Visitation will be held from 10AM-Noon Thursday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations would be appreciated.
