Gordon “Gordy” L. Chelmo, age 55, a resident of Frederic passed away on February 2, 2021.

Gordy was born in Spooner to Lyle and Lucille Chelmo.

Gordy was a kindhearted, loving person who genuinely cared about people. He had a love for life and no matter how bad things got, he would always remain positive. He had the best and weirdest humor and would always get you to laugh.

Gordy spent many years working at Capeside Cove Good Samaritan Center as a C.N.A. Gordy was a member of Siren United Methodist Church where his love for children kept him involved with the youth group. Gordy also loved to sing and had a great love for dogs.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Angie; his parents and brother, Jonny.

He will be sadly missed by his sons, Sonny and John; his sister, Janet (Mark) Everson; sister-in-law, Susie (Lee) Robbins and his extended family of friends, The Ward’s, The Baker’s the McConnell’s and The Yambrick families; along with anyone whose heart he touched.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 2:00 PM (visitation 1-2PM) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Siren with Pastor Eddie Crise and Pastor Steve Ward officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Siren.
