Gloria Corrine Soldner, age 90, passed on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Cumberland Care and Rehab. She was born December 4, 1933 to William Augustus and Agnes (Chelstrom) Armstrong.

Gloria grew up on the family farm and graduated from Turtle Lake High School. On November 21, 1957 she was married to Harvey Soldner, and became a farm wife. They were married for 50 years until Harvey passed in 2004.

Gloria enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, and helping with everything on the farm - from feeding calves to driving tractor. She was also an active member of a couple different churches, and the Polk County Sportsmans Club.

She is survived by sister, Joyce Nelson; sons, Bert (Paula) Soldner, Henry (Joy) Soldner, and Bill (Sue) Soldner; grandchildren, Jonathon Soldner, Aeryc Soldner, Danielle Soldner, Simon Soldner, and Luke Soldner; great-grandchildren, Mykayla Soldner, Harvey Soldner, and Howard Soldner, and, special grand-puppy, Rylan Soldner.

Gloria was preceded in death by brother, Bryce Armstrong; sisters, Isabel Broecker, Bernice Hardina, and Phyllis Glaubetz.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 11 AM at Apple River Community Church with Pastor Justin Hosking officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jonathon Soldner, Aeryc Soldner, Simon Soldner, Luke Soldner, Eric Nelson, and Peter Schrankel.

Visitation will be from 1 PM - 3 PM at Skinner Funeral Home in Turtle Lake on Monday, June 17th, 2024 and one hour prior to the service at church.
