In Memory of Glenn Wisner


August 5, 1934 - September 11, 2019

Glenn was born on August 5, 1934 to Harry and Ruby (Whitford) Wisner in Spooner, Wisconsin.  He served his country in the US Air Force.  He lived in Chicago, Illinois and worked for Chicago Faucets for 13 years.  Glenn married Mary Bronkema on January 13, 1958, while in Chicago.  They moved to Spooner in 1972.   Glenn graduated from Spooner High School in 1978 with his son, Brent.  He worked at Spooner High School for over 20 years beginning in 1976, serving as the head of maintenance for many years.  He enjoyed politics and restoring old vehicles.

Glenn is survived by; his wife, Mary of Trego, Wisconsin, three sons, Brent (Cathy) Wisner of Wilton, Wisconsin, Bryon Wisner of Winter, Wisconsin, and Duane Wisner of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, one grandson, Justin Wisner, one great-grandson, Landon Wisner, one sister, Nina Linderman of Shell Lake, Wisconsin, and one brother, Gene Wisner of Spooner, Wisconsin.  He was preceded in death by; his parents, his daughter, Deborah Bruce, his granddaughter, Ashley Ann Wisner, three brothers, Arthur, Roland, and Robert Wisner, and three sisters, Irene Hottstine, Mary “Dolly” Thompson, and Sylvia Christenson.

A memorial service will be held for Glenn at The Spooner Funeral Home in Spooner, Wisconsin on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ben Kidder officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial with full military honors will be at The Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, Wisconsin.  Arrangements were entrusted to The Spooner Funeral Home.
