Glenn Scanlan, 68, was born Sept 7th, 1954 in Chicago to Dorothy and Bud Scanlan.

Glenn passed away at his home in Cumberland surrounded by his family on Saturday December 10th, 2022.

After graduating High School in Chicago he went to work at Anheuser Busch. Glenn married Denise Sept 22, 1973 and together they had a son, Kevin. Glenn then chose to help and protect others and became a Cook County Sheriffs Deputy in Chicago, where he touched many lives.

After retirement he fulfilled his dream of moving to Cumberland on the lake.

Glenn loved spending time with his family, friends and his dogs. He enjoyed fishing on his pontoon and anything to do with cars, trucks, hunting or sports. He was always the life of the party, and would make you laugh or cringe with all his stories. You never had to guess what was on his mind - he would always let you know.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Denise; son, Kevin (Julie) Scanlan and the loves of his life, his grandchildren, Shane and Erin Scanlan; sister, Gail Puccio; god sons, Joey Lenart and Christian Faulkner; sister in law, Cathy (Bob) McNicholas; aunt, uncle, niece, nephews and cousins and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Dorothy and Arthur (Bud) Scanlan.

A celebration of life will be in the Spring of 2023.
