Glen Marvin Fankhauser Age 85, of Rice Lake, WI, died Tuesday, May 31, 2022 in Rice Lake.

He was born on June 18, 1936 in Barron, WI to Herman and Ella (Hanson).

Glen graduated from Barron High School in 1954 and was married to Mary Prosecky on July 13, 1957 in Minnesota. He was an installer and repairman for GTE for many years. Glen enjoyed wood crafting, carpentry work, hunting, fishing, and outdoor sports.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Fankhauser; 5 sons and daughters-in-law, Steven (Barbara), Kenneth (Cathy), Randy (Janet), Timmy (Marcia), Gary (Angela) and Gail Gygli; 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; a brother, Lanny (Delores) Fankhauser; a sister, Arvella Hill; many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by a son, Todd Fankhauser; his parents, Herman and Ella Fankhauser; a brother, Barry Fankhauser; a sister, Doris Johnson. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Frank Petit officiating, with interment in Orchard Beach Cemetery in Rice Lake with Military Rites accorded him by the Rice Lake Veteran Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held from 4-7PM Monday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals and for one hour prior to the Funeral Service. A Moose Memorial Service will be held at 6:30PM Monday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated.
