Geraldine McManus, age 81, of Chetek, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2021.

Geraldine was born to the late Frances and LaVonne (Newingham) McCorkle in September of 1939.

She graduated from Weyerhaueser high school in 1957 and worked as a bank teller. After moving to Dallas, she worked as a title one aide and later retired after working several years at Auto Stop.

Geraldine enjoyed reading romance novels, jigsaw puzzles and playing cards and scrabble with family and friends.  Her love of knitting and crocheting produced many afghans, mittens and hats and other various treasures through the years. Her most valued times were spent with family and friends.

Geraldine is survived by her sons, Pat (Heather) McManus of Dallas and Stewart McManus of Rice Lake; daughters, Donna McManus of Eau Claire, Carol Olson of Minneapolis, MN, Cherol (Sarah) Banjamin of Dundas, MN and Rebecca (Bill) McClain of Boyceville; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Jon McCorkle of North Branch, MN; sister, Robin Zelm of Menomonie; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Fran and Gina.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Rausch and Steel Funeral Chapel in Barron.  Private family services with Rev. Mark Bartlett officiating will follow. The family is requesting that masks be worn.

Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron.
