In Memory of Gerald Eugene Visger
March 22, 1938 - February 22, 2018
Gerald “Jerry” E. Visger, 79, of Spooner entered into God’s Kingdom on February 22, 2018 with his wife, Pat, by his side at Maple Ridge Care Center in Spooner.
Jerry was born on March 22, 1938 in Spooner to “Happy” and Amelia (Bos) Visger. He was a resident of Spooner for most of his life and attended Horace Mann High School. Jerry worked as a printer at White Birch Printing in Shell Lake. He married Patricia Conn on September 24, 1971. They moved to Arizona for 10 years, where he managed the print shop for Good Samaritan Hospital. Jerry enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Jerry is survived by; his wife, Pat, son, Scott (Brenda) of Rice Lake, daughter, Julie (Michelle) of Madison, WI, brother, John of Harrison, AR, sister, Irene (Bob) Grooms of Culver City, CA, grandson, Mat, granddaughter, Nicole, three, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by; his parents, twin sister, Jackie Rothstein, brothers Larry and Harry, and his sister-in-law Angie.
Pallbearers will be Tom Rothstein, Tim Rothstein, Michael Rothstein, Trevor Rothstein, Trent Rothstein, Brandon Martin, and Dustin Martin. Memorial are preferred to The Alzheimer’s Association of Wisconsin.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 11 AM at The Spooner Wesleyan Church with Pastor LeRoy Drake officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. A private burial will be held at a later date in The Spooner Cemetery.
