George Harold Poreden - 83 Love-filled years.

George was born in Kenosha, Wis. on August 17, 1940, to Irene Pofahl and George Thomas Poreden. He passed on March 21, 2024. This is a loss to not only family but also neighbors, medical personnel, and many more. Anyone who had an encounter with him became his friend. He was a very wise man as he would read books galore and could answer almost every jeopardy question. He was a loving husband to Patricia Mae Manko, father to Tura Louise - married to Daniel Fisher, and grandfather to Lauren Fisher. He had two sisters, Rosemary Bloedorn and Patricia Kohn.

He had a lot of humor and used it often. His recent life was ridden with health problems which he vivaciously got through. It all stopped unexpectedly with no pain, to which we are thankful. He is not alone, he has many who have gone before him. We know he is at peace and waiting for his lifelong wife.

There is no public service scheduled at this time.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
