Gary H. Hefter, 90, of Barronett, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 7th, 2023.

He was born July 12, 1933 to Hilbert and Dorothy Hefter in Chicago, Illinois.

Gary married the love of his life, Wynona Hulleman in Barronett, WI on June 16, 1956. They enjoyed 67 wonderful years of marriage together. Gary was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved fishing, especially in Canada and enjoyed playing cards with a cold beer in his hand. Gary spent a lot of time helping on the farm, driving tractor while raking hay. He is known for his wonderful sense of humor, teasing and exceptional smile. Gary also had a very strong faith and expressed his faith to others.

Gary was survived by his wife, Wynona; daughters, Janet Haupt (Dan Tyler), Kimberly Lundeen (Steve), and Dawn Weimer; sons, Michael Hefter, and Daniel Hefter (Darcy); 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna Sather and Diane Wright and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dale; son, Scott and son-in-law, Doug Weimer.

Services will be held at Spooner Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Sunday December 17th. Visitation at 1:00, funeral at 2:00 and luncheon at the Barronett Community Center to follow.
