Gary Allan Hoisington, 61, of Turtle Lake died on November 10, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, MN.

He was born April 19, 1961, in Cumberland, WI to Gordon and Judy (Bowers) Hoisington.

Shortly after high school, Gary joined the United States Army Reserves. He was married on November 23, 1983, to Kathleen “Kathy” Newbauer.

Gary was a hard working man who was always willing to lend a hand. He proudly worked with the Laborers Union 268 for 35 years.

Gary loved to sing and dance! He was known far and wide for his singing talent. When Gary was not singing or dancing he enjoyed hunting, fishing, going for evening drives with Kathy looking for wildlife, and playing bean bags and horseshoes.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy of Turtle Lake; fur babies; mother, Judy Hoisington of Turtle Lake; siblings: Greg (Betty) of Osceola, Jim (Laura) of Cumberland, and Dawn (David) Lundgren of Amery; claimed daughter: Jasmine Rivas; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other family and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Gordon; both sets of grandparents; and in-laws, Joe and Virginia Newbauer.

A time of celebration will be held at 4-8 PM Friday, November 18, 2022, at Skinner Funeral Home, Turtle Lake. Burial will be in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
