Florence Jane “Flo” Savina, 70, of Cumberland passed peacefully, January 17, 2022.

She was born June 5, 1951 in Rice Lake, WI to Olaf Frederick and Jane Lorraine (Ramsdell) Larsen. Flo graduated from Rice Lake High School.

She was married in January 1970, to Joseph Savina who preceded her in death on September 27, 2006.

Flo had a huge heart and was known for going out of her way to help anyone and everyone. She worked with a boy’s orphanage in Mexico, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Salvation Army, and supported St. Jude’s. One of her greatest loves was being able to work with her son Larry at his store, Island Wines. Her other great love spending time with and teaching her nieces and nephews how to tie their shoes and climb trees.

If someone wanted to go on a trip, she was the first one packed. She traveled to Italy, Germany, Norway, Mexico, and many states. No matter where she was visiting, Flo was always on the hunt for the best sushi!

Flo is survived by her two wonderful children: Larry Savina of Cumberland, and Angela (Christopher) LaPorte of Shell Lake; grandson, Beaudean (Marissa) Savina of Cumberland; great granddaughter: Arabella Savina; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other dear family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane Savina; parents, Olaf and Jane Larsen; and her six siblings: Gary Larsen, Sheri Burkhart, Bonnie Drost, Sandy Becker, Gaylon Larsen, and Barry Larsen.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Skinner Funeral Home in Cumberland with Pastor John Miels officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tim Grenier, Kevin Hanson, Beaudean Savina, Kevin Thomson, Jamie Smith, and William “Billy” Carlson. Visitation will be from 11AM - 2 PM.
