In Memory of Felix J. Turcotte
Felix J. Turcotte, age 80, of Winter, WI, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Felix was born on August 8, 1944 to Peter and Mary Turcotte in Milwaukee, WI. He attended Sacred Hearts School in St. Martins, WI. He was inducted into the US Army in July of 1965, where he served a 2-year deployment to Vietnam. Upon returning home, he married the love of his life, Janice Geringer, on October 21, 1967.
Felix spent his time in Milwaukee working as an electrician at Westinghouse. In 1972, he and Jan moved to Ojibwa, WI with their two children. At that time, he began working at Bob’s Electric as an electrician and later purchased the company from his father-in-law, becoming the second generation and changing the name to Winter Electric. He spent over 50 years in the community of Winter, where he made many friends and enjoyed many activities. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, traveling, playing cards, and fishing any chance he could get. He had a deep love for family and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed it.
Felix is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Janice Turcotte (Geringer); two children, Todd (Holly) Turcotte and Tammie Buckwheat; grandchildren, Morgan (Andrew) Powers, Nathan (Olivia) Buckwheat, and Allison Buckwheat; one great-grandchild, Becket Powers; six brothers, Frank (Sandy) Turcotte, Roy (Vi) Turcotte, Tony (Sue) Turcotte, Dan (Diane) Turcotte, Bob (Cheryl) Turcotte and Don (Hollie) Turcotte; three sisters, Sarah (Paul) Dahl, JoAnn (Pat) Fallon and Loretta (Jeff) Ahrndt; a brother-in-law, Bob Geringer; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Mary Turcotte; his mother and father-in-law, Robert and Lucille Geringer; two sisters, Emily Countryman and Rosemary Plyer; and his brother, Mark Turcotte.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Winter, WI. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon. Fr. Sunil Kumar Thumma celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow in Winter Cemetery.
