In Memory of Faye Hoff
Faye Hoff, age 87, passed away on January 17, 2024, at the TCHCC Nursing home in Whitehall, WI.
Faye was born on September 6, 1936, in Spooner, WI, to Geneva and Arthur Magnusson.
She graduated from Shell Lake High School in 1954. She moved to Milwaukee to find work and is where she met James Chatham. They were married for 17 years and had 6 children. She moved to Whitehall with the children, and there she met Fred Hoff. They were married for 16 years.
Faye went to school to become an LPN. She was a very giving person, who truly loved being a nurse and caring for others. She worked at the Arcadia Hospital until she moved back to Spooner. She retired after several years of employment with the Spooner Nursing Home.
Faye enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing, gardening and entertaining. She was always up to the challenge of a new game, or just sitting on the porch in the fresh air enjoying the peacefulness of the country.
Faye is survived by her 6 children: Chris (Mary) Chatham of Eau Claire, Barb Chatham of Strum, Susan Mach of Neenah, Kim Chatham of Black River Falls, Marilyn (Joe) Brady of Whitehall, and April (Seymore) Anderson of Mondovi. Grandchildren: Danny (Betsy) Chatham, David Chatham, Maria (Mike) Faulkner, Michael Chatham, Devin Chatham, Steven (Shelby) Mach, Christine Mach, Melissa (Andrew) Adams, Danielle (Matthew) Driver, MacKenzie Brady, Lindsey (Jeff Boyle) Weber, Garrett (Amanda Jackelen) Anderson, Alex (Kaylee) Anderson, and Michaela (Dylan Severson) Anderson. Great grandchildren: Esabella, Sophia, Zoey, Cecelia, Laken, Navy, Carson, Cain, Jaxson, Lincoln, and Walker. Brother Lynn Magnusson, Sister-in-law Fern Magnusson, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, husband Fred, son-in -law, and granddaughter-in-law.
Services will be held at the Spooner Funeral Home on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Visitation at noon and service at 1pm.
