Erlene Dale Kahl, age 70, of Rice Lake, WI, died Monday, March 17, 2025 at her home.

She was born on June 1, 1954 in Rice Lake to Walter and Elaine (Thiefs) Buhl. Erlene worked for McCain Foods and Starlight Motel for many years. She loved watching football and NASCAR racing, working on word search, and feeding and watching the birds.

She is survived by her son, Jeremy Buhl; a sister, Ruth Ann Buhl; a brother, George Buhl and Marty Buhl; an aunt, Janet Busick; an uncle, Wally Thiefs; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Elaine Buhl; and a sister, Janet Kahl.

A celebration of her life will be held from 11AM-1PM Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake.
