October 20, 1997 - August 6, 2018

Erin Ashlie Markegard, age 20, a resident of Spooner, passed away at her home on Monday, August 6, 2018.

Erin was born on October 20, 1997, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin to parents Tracy (Markegard) Harris and Timothy Fisher.  She attended both the Spooner and Hayward Schools where she was active in basketball and golf before moving to Florida where she would graduate from the Heritage High School in Palm Bay, Florida the class of 2016.  In the summer of 2017 the family moved back to Spooner from Palm Bay Florida. About a year later, she began her first job working for Ventures Unlimited, where she enjoyed working and making new friends.  Erin loved the ocean and lakes where she would swim and body board. She also enjoyed thrill rides at amusement parks, horseback riding, bowling, golf/mini golf, drawing/sketching, and going for ATV rides.

Erin is survived by her mother Tracy Harris, stepfather Phillip Harris, father Tim Fisher, sister Ashley Stroschine, brothers Steven Markegard and Christopher Fisher, maternal grandfather Keith Markegard, paternal grandparents Jerry and Mary Fisher, 2 nieces, 2 nephews, and many other extended family and friends.

Erin is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Joan Markegard and maternal step grandmother Charlene Markegard.

Funeral services for Erin Markegard will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at 11:30 am, at the Spooner Funeral Home with Pastor Leroy Drake officiating.  Visitation will be on Thursday, at the Funeral Home from 10- 11:30.
