In Memory of Emery E. Healy

July 14, 1937 - November 21, 2022

Emery E. Healy, age 85, passed away Monday, November 21st, 2022 at his home outside Frederic, WI.

Emery was born on July 14th, 1937 to Charles and Viola (Klint) Healy on the Healy farmstead in Faribault County outside Mapleton, MN.

On February 27th 1954 he married Hope Robinson and to this union 4 children were born. In 1958 Emery and Hope bought a small dairy farm in Maple Valley, Clam Falls Township, and moved to Wisconsin.

Emery enjoyed the outdoors. He appreciated a good game of golf, loved deer hunting and relished in a good deer hunting story. He was a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan. His love of farming, both dairy and in later years raising Registered Polled Herefords on the Maple Valley Farm, was well known to those that knew him. He enjoyed a day on his John Deere tractor. He didn’t appreciate flying, but tolerated it, to travel to Hawaii for golf at a favorite little municipal course in the winter months. He liked a good card game, had a terrific sense of humor and a great laugh.

Although he spent many years on the road as an independent long distance truck driver home was always Maple Valley Farm. Emery took great pleasure in family get togethers, watching his cattle in the pasture and the deer under the apple trees, but most importantly, watching his grandkids and great grandkids grow and become responsible, caring people. He was, and will continue to be, a good role model to those who loved him.

Emery is survived by Hope, his wife of 68 years, daughters, Cheri (Jeff) Moats, Tammi (Dennis) Wiberg and son, Emery David (Shelly) Healy, sister Mary (Luther) Hall, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Patti Lynn Healy, his parents, brother, Stanley and sister, Charlotte.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday November 28th, 2022 at St Luke’s United Methodist Church in Frederic with visitation beginning at 10:00. Following the service and lunch he will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in Frederic.

Arrangements are entrusted to Rowe Funeral Home, 715-327-4475.
