Elvera Elaine Colman, 86, of Spooner passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Maple Ridge Care Center in Spooner, WI.

Elvera was born on January 25, 1931 in Barronett, WI to Art and Maggie (Hanson) Johnson.  She attended grade school in Barronett and graduated from Shell Lake High School in 1949.  In 1954 she married William Gordon Jorgensen and together they raised their daughter, Deborah.  He passed away in 1975.  She was married to Glenn Marvin Colman from 1982-1989.  Elvera worked at Indianhead Flower Shoppe for most of her working life, first as an employee, then co-owner with William, and finally as sole owner from 1975-1979.  After 1979, she had several different jobs and was very proud of the fact that she worked until age 84.   Elvera was an avid sports fan.  She loved watching her grandsons, William and Scott, play soccer, football, baseball, and basketball.  She also loved watching all sports on TV, even tennis and golf!  Her greatest passion was her family.  She hosted many family gatherings and enjoyed every minute.  She was a proud member of the Shell Lake Full Gospel Church.  She is loved deeply by her family and church family and will be greatly missed by both. 

Elvera is survived by  her daughter, Deborah (William) Vogel of Spooner; her grandsons, William (Cara) Vogel of Spooner, and Scott (Shannon) Vogel of Esko, MN; great-grandchildren, Jake and Erin of Spooner; brother-in-law James (Marion) Jorgensen; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by; her husband, William, parents, Art and Maggie, siblings, Robert, Myrtle, and Floyd, nieces, Stephanie and Verdine, and nephew, Robert, Jr.
