We have lost a very special lady. She welcomed lots of family members into her home and was loved by all who knew her. She will be remembered for her delicious homemade meals, breads, pies, cakes, and cookies, as well as many have been recipients of her slippers, mittens, sweaters, and crocheted doilies. She was also known for her baked goods at the Trego Dinner Bell. She was a long-time member of Washburn County Homemakers. She enjoyed cribbage games and puzzles. Church was important to her, and she enjoyed going to church in Stone Lake and then the Trego Community Church in Trego. She loved getting hugs.

A celebration of Maxine’s life will be held on March 18, 2023, at noon at the Trego Community Church in Trego with Pastor Bill Lee officiating. Visitation will be held at the Church for 1 hour prior to the service from 11- noon. Interment will take place in the Spring at the Spooner Cemetery next to Athol.
