In Memory of Elizabeth Schleeter


September 13, 1990 - September 7, 2019

Elizabeth “Lizzie” Anne Schleeter passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Aurora Residential in Altoona, Wisconsin.

Elizabeth was born on September 13, 1990 in Duluth, Minnesota to Dale and Ann (Hockel) Schleeter.  She was baptized at First Lutheran Church in Hayward, Wisconsin.  Liz graduated from Hayward High School in 2009 and truly enjoyed her classes.  She resided in the Eau Claire Area, and especially liked books, going out to dinner, and trips to Disney World.  Lizzie loved spending time with people, especially her big sister, Amy.  Liz had a smile that would brighten anyone’s day, especially the staff at Aurora Residential, where she had most recently resided.   

Liz is survived by; her parents, Dale and Ann Schleeter of Hayward, her sister, Amy Schleeter of Hayward, her grandmother, Maude Schleeter of Hayward, and other extended family.  She was preceded in death by; her grandfather, Delmar Schleeter, her grandparents, George and Joyce Hockel, and her uncle, Scott Hockel.  

A memorial service for Liz was held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 1:00 PM at First Lutheran Church in Hayward, Wisconsin, officiated by Pastor Joel Bacon.  Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church.  Memorials are preferred to; Sam and Ruth Weiss Community Library, 10788 State Highway 27/77, Hayward, Wisconsin 54843.  Arrangements were entrusted to The Hayward Funeral Home.
