Elizabeth “Betty” Shaide Age 81, of Cameron, WI, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 25, 2022 in Chetek, WI.

She was born on September 7, 1940 in Exeter, New Hampshire to John and Bertha (Boudreau) Mitchell.

Betty was married on May 10, 1957 in New Market, New Hampshire to Donald Shaide. She owned and operated her own upholstery business, called My Mom’s Upholstery. Betty was also a health care worker, law enforcement, and a paramedic. She loved and enjoyed all of her ministries at church.

She is survived by her 4 children, Clarence Shaide, Sheila (Rick) Boushek, Glen Shaide and Belinda (Wade) Gardner; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, William Mitchell; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Shaide; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Jean Shaide; 2 sisters; 8 brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rice Lake, Father Ed Anderson officiating, with interment in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is handling the services for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Church would be appreciated.
