In Memory of Eleanor M. Heinze


May 1, 1930 - August 17, 2024

Eleanor Mary Heinze, age 94 of Haugen passed away on August 17, 2024.

She was born May 1, 1930 in the Town of Oak Grove, Barron County WI to Hubert John and Margaret Katherine (Haughian) Willger.

She was married in Haugen on June 23, 1948, to Robert F. Heinze, who preceded her in death on December 21, 1991.

For many years, Eleanor served as a hardworking wife on the farm. In the little free time she could find, she tended to the garden and, additionally, was a very good cook. She also worked at Cizek's Clover Farm Store in Haugen, and, post-farming at Wright Products in Rice Lake for 17 years.

Eleanor was an active and faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Haugen, praying the rosary daily. During her time there, she was a nominee for the Pax Christi Award, performed Adoration, and was a member of the Council of Christian Women.

She leaves behind her five children, James (Judy Carlstrom) Heinze, Eugene (Connie Smith) Heinze, John Heinze, Robert (Margaret) Heinze, and Linda (Peter) Putz; grandchildren: Travis Heinze, Tonia Heinze, Melanie (Travis) Nelson, Mark (Sarah) Heinze, Pierce Putz, Paige Putz, Chelsea Destin, Tansy (Jared) Annexstad and Forest (Lynn) Redfall and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Margaret Willger; and husband, Robert F. Heinze.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Haugen with Fr. Isaiah Schick officiating. Interment is in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Skinner Funeral Home, Rice Lake; and one hour prior to the service at church.

Skinner Funeral Home of Rice Lake is serving the family.
