Edward “Eddie” Snobl Age 82, of Rice Lake, WI, died Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Cumberland Care and Rehab in Cumberland, WI.

He was born on January 22, 1942 to Charles and Blanche (Janecky) Snobl. Edward attended Benjamin Franklin Elementary school and graduated from Rice Lake High School. He then took over the family farm and operated it until retirement in 2004. Edward raised several large gardens in which he shared the bounty with the neighbors. On his farm there were dairy cattle, geese, ducks, chickens and his beloved Siamese cats. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, picking berries and foraging for mushrooms. His favorite team was the Green Bay Packers. His favorite TV shows were The Amazing Race, Survivor and Jeopardy. He also had the gift of gab which on summer days found him sitting on the porch talking to neighbors.

Edward is survived by his sister, Evelyn Snobl; brother-in-law, Donald Dostal; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Blanche Snobl; brothers, Charles and John Snobl; and a sister, Caroline Dostal.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11AM at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI, with interment in the Bohemian National Cemetery in Haugen, WI, with a lunch to follow. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals.
