In Memory of Edward Beckman Jr.


November 28, 1965 - September 4, 2021

Edward John Beckman Jr., 55, of New Auburn, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Mayo Clinic Health Care System in St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, MN with his family at his side.

Edward Jr. was born on November 28, 1965, in Chicago IL the son of Barbara (Billon) and Edward John Beckman Sr.

Edward Jr. spent six years in the Army National Guard during and after high school. He was a self employed mechanic in the Chetek area for many years; he was a member of the Chetek Hydroflites Water Ski team for six years, he enjoyed mud bogging, snowmobiling, ice fishing, ice racing, hunting and fishing, camping and vacationing with his family and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Edward leaves to celebrate his memory: his wife, Tammy L. Beckman, New Auburn, WI; daughters, Jennifer (Tyler) Moebius, Richfield, MN; Venesa M. Marz, Chetek, WI; Christina L. (Jonathan) Gustum, Chetek, WI; grandchildren, Cayden Hix and Rachelle Harper, siblings, Dodie (Terry) Ash, Eau Claire, WI; Doreen Beckman, Sneads Ferry, NC, Diana Beckman, Hebron, IL, Steve (Denise) Beckman, Freeport, IL, Ann Marie (Bob) Yeager, Weyerhaeuser, WI and Vicki (Bobby) Sjoholm, St. Petersburg, FL, sister-in-law, Kim Hanson (Kevin) Barron, WI; brother-in-law, Wally Hanson, Chetek, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Barbara and Edward Sr., his uncle, Mike Billon, nephews in infancy, Jeremy Beckman and Ashton Beckman.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 2, from 12 Noon until 5 P.M. at the Chetek American Legion Hall, Post 179 with a service at 1 P.M.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Gustum, Wally Hanson, Adam Beckman, Brandon Beckman, John Yeager, J.D. Schnell, Jason Schnell and Travis Knight.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Chetek has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
