In Memory of Edna Weber
March 16, 1930 - October 29, 2016
Edna Jane (Todd) Weber, 86, Shell Lake, died Saturday October 30, 2016 at the Shell Lake Health Center in Shell Lake, WI. Edna lived in Spooner and the Stone Lake area for years.
Edna was born in Minneapolis, MN on March 16, 1930 to parents Arthur and Irene (Bruner) Carlson and attended school in Duluth, MN. She married Melvin E. Todd and had four children. She also married Slug Williams and Clifford Weber. Edna worked as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) at Hayward Nursing Home and was a home health aide working in people’s homes in Washburn County most if her life and raised six children.
Edna’s favorite movie was “Pretty Woman”. She loved helping others by giving them food, clothing, and rides to places they needed to go. Edna was a member of the Whitefish Church for many years and sang in the choir. Edna loved soap operas. She loved doing things with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren said it was a wonderful adventure going with their Grandma.
Edna is survived by her children Michael (Todd) Bender of Spooner, Annette Ford of Spooner, Barbara (Clint) Atkinson of Shell Lake, and Todd L. (Tammy Scalzo) Todd; her sisters and brothers Rosie (Olie) Ness, Mary Martina and husband, Lori Carlson of Minnesota, Butch Carlson of Minnesota, and Johnny Carlson of Minnesota; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Edna was preceded in death by her husbands Melvin Todd, Slug Williams, and Cliff Weber; her sons Larry Todd and Mark Todd; her parents Art Carlson and Irene (Bruner) Lerback, and her step dad Paul Lerbeck.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 at United Methodist Church in Spooner. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m.at the church. Pastor Jack Starr will be officiating. Interment will follow, weather permitting, at Evergreen Cemetery in the town of Madge.
