In Memory of Dustin A. Knutson
Dustin Alfred Knutson came into this world on Mother's Day, May 12, 1974. And lived every moment he could happy and laughing through May 21st, 2024.
His parents, Joann Knutson (Bibeau) and David Knutson were his biggest fans and primary caregivers.
Dustin started school in Clear Lake school in 1977. Then in 1985, he moved to Unity school district where he attended until he graduated high school in 1995. He then worked at Endeavors through 2009. Following his employment there he was involved in the IRIS program through the State of Wisconsin.
Dustin was long involved with Polk County Special Olympics where he competed in both bocce ball and bowling, and thoroughly enjoyed it. He loved the water and spent many summers swimming in the lake at the family campground. Music was a very important part of his life; he loved just about any music with a good beat he could bounce and dance to! He also enjoyed watching movies, notably Disney movies, but any musical would do, Wizard of Oz being at the top of the list, with Beauty and the Beast a close second.
Dustin leaves to mourn his loss, his parents, Joann Knutson (Bibeau), and David Knutson, his brother Christopher (Virginia) Knutson, their children Bradley, Joshua, Tristan, Caleb, Cheyenne Knutson, and Elizabeth Meyer, his cousin, and longtime caregiver, Lisa Einberger, along with many other Loving friends and family members. His smile and feisty shenanigans will be missed by many.
There will be a Celebration of Life at Kolstad Family Funeral home in Centuria WI on Monday, June 3rd from 5-7 with a short service to follow. Private interment at Balsam Lake Cemetery will happen at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to Polk County Special Olympics.
