Dru Grant Blakeborough, 35, of Amery WI, passed away on February 15, 2024, in Amery, WI. He was born in New Richmond and was an electrician for the Local IBEW 14. Dru was a loving father to his cherished daughter Kennedy Blakeborough, age 9.

He was a pleasant young man who loved his family dearly. Dru enjoyed hunting and fishing, often making unforgettable memories during hunting trips with his family. Hunting in Africa with his Dad was a highpoint of his life. Canoeing with his Mom in the BWCA was another favorite. Hobbies included spending quality time with his daughter and indulging in a good buffet. Reliving moments in movies with his brother Cole was a great source of entertainment. In order to discipline Dru we had to go through his sister. Tara and her daughter Chevelle were his best friends.

Dru is survived by his parents, Greg Blakeborough and Dodie Glunz; stepfather, Greg Glunz; stepmother, Dana Hodowanic; older brother, Cole (Alexa); sister, Tara Lee; nieces, Chevelle Lee and Riley Law; nephew, Grant Lee; and his beloved daughter, Kennedy. He had a special bond with his family and leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished moments. Dru is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Dru will be remembered for his passion for family, love for hunting, and dedication to his career as an electrician. May he rest in peace.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 4 to 7 pm at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, Wisconsin.
