Dorothy "Dotz" Annette Leisz, 91, of Turtle Lake died Friday, April 19, 2019, at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born November 20, 1927, in Almena, WI to John and Susan (Tessling) Blechinger. She was married in Turtle Lake on July 19, 1946, to Vernon Leisz who preceded her in death on October 20, 1982. Dorothy and Vernon had 9 children together. Dotz was also married to Michael Merle until his passing.

Dotz was a devout Catholic and was never without her Rosary. It was because of her faith, family, and friends that she was able to love life. Her family was her greatest joy. Dotz loved and was loved by everyone who entered into her life. No one was a stranger in her eyes. She was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers, bingo, and outings to the casino. Dotz also loved spending time in her garden with her many lawn ornaments, fishing, watching the Cardinals out her window, and visits from her family and friends. Her witty retorts, sense of humor, and smile will be greatly missed.

She is survived by 4 sons, John "Huntz" (Kathy) Leisz of Clayton, Bradley Leisz of Turtle Lake, Gregory (Denna) Leisz of Turtle Lake, Timothy (Jerri Lynn) Leisz of Clayton; 2 daughters, Colleen (Dean) Huntington of Cumberland, and Cheryl (Dennis Gilbertson) Leisz of Clayton; son-in-law, Ron Olson, Cassie Moore; daughters-in-law: Sandy Leisz and Tina Leisz; 19 grandchildren: Brian (David) Leisz, Chad (Kristin) Olson, Jamie (Rochelle) Olson, Sara (Sean) Annis, Amanda (Isaac) Lundquist, Jennie (Jesse) Nitchey, Missy (Greg) Schleiss, Rachael Leisz, Jake (Mariah) Huntington, Adam (Cindy Hutton) Leisz, Tasha (Nick) Ramis, Casey (Nathan) Roehmild, Erin (Bruce) Baillargeon, Jordy Leisz, Jared Leisz, Jonah Leisz, Lilly Leisz, Katie (Chris) Lancette, Chantz (Ashley) Leisz; 25 great grandchildren: Reid, Makenna (Joe Rademacher) Olson, Ava, Harper, Delaney Olson, Olivia, Brady Annis, Eve, Violet Lundquist, Dylan, Kody, Wyatt, and John Nitchey, Chevy Caron, Carson, Camryn, Adisyn, and Isaac Ramis, Wyatt, and Indyia Hutton, Kason Leisz, Brahm Roehmild, Corbyn Leisz, Finnley and Tucker Lancette; sister, Deloris Borgstrom; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends. Dotz was preceded by her husband, Vernon Leisz; sons, Dennis Leisz, and Steven Leisz; daughter, Trish Olson; grandchildren: Angie Coulombe, and Sham Leisz; great-grandchildren, Ariel Breise, and Hazel Baillargeon; and sister, Ellie Kasper.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Almena with Father Tom Thompson officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery in Turtle Lake. Pallbearers are Brian Leisz, Chad Olson, Jamie Olson, Jake Huntington, Adam Leisz, Jordy Leisz, Jared Leisz, Jonah Leisz, and Chantz Leisz. Honorary pallbearers are her great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Monday, April 22, 2019, at the Skinner Funeral Home in Turtle Lake and for one hour prior to Mass.
