Dorothy Frieda Severson Age 85, of Barronett, WI died Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Dove Healthcare West in Eau Claire, WI. She was born on February 2, 1933 in Almena, WI to Charles and Hattie (Zielkie) Becker. Dorothy graduated from the Turtle Lake High School in 1951. She was married to Elmer Severson on August 28, 1954.

Dorothy worked for 3M in Cumberland for many years and they also had a hobby farm in Barronett. Dorothy enjoyed farming, gardening, shopping and baking. She and Elmer loved country music, snowmobiling, dancing and going camping. She loved every holiday and all of the family get togethers.

She is survived by her husband of over 63 years, Elmer; 2 daughters, Diane Tiffany in Cumberland, WI and Cheryl Morin of White Bear Lake, MN; 4 grandchildren, Nathan (Melissa) Kallsen, Stephanie (Matthew) DeAngelis, Corey (Bethany) Morin and Brandon (Vanessa) Morin; 4 great grandchildren, Makalyn, Nathan, Madalyn and Oliver; 3 sisters, Edna Organ of Barron, WI, Elvera (David) Morgan of Rice Lake and Dorleen Fladwood of Turtle Lake, WI; 2 brothers, Roger (Barbara) Becker of Barron, WI and Alfred (Joyce) Becker of Almena, WI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Hattie Becker; a sister, Eleanore Moran; and 4 brothers, Ernest Becker, Walter Becker, Ervin Becker and Richard Becker.

Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Monday, May 7, 2018 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cumberland, WI, Rev. John Miels officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church on Monday. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
