In Memory of Dorothy A. Harder
Dorothy Ann Harder age 84 of Spooner WI passed away at her home on Sunday, October 2, 2022.
She was born on May 2, 1938, in Milwaukee WI, the daughter of Verna and Harvey Pritzlaff.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Larry Harder and their four children Margie (Wes) Borgin, Kay (Doug) Rowe, Andy (Lynn) Harder, David (Annette) Harder, eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear sister Pat (Tom) Orlikowsi, and three brothers Tom Pritzlaff, Jim (Cindy) Pritzlaff and John (Kim) Pritzlaff, sister-in-law Alice (Ron) Branta, and many close in-laws and nieces and nephews. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Gary Pritzlaff.
Dorothy and Larry moved to Spooner in 1967 where they started and co-owned the carnival, Indianhead Amusements. Along with being the bookkeeper, she worked the concession wagons and drove pickup trucks with trailers. Even after almost 40 years, she never did learn how to back up a trailer.
Dorothy had a deep faith and was active in the church by playing the organ, working in the office, and helping in the kitchen for funerals and other events.
She enjoyed watching the wildlife from her home, sharing recipes with her sister, knitting/crocheting, baking tasty desserts and cookies, reading, and keeping up with family and friends on Facebook.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Marshfield Medical Center-Rice Lake Home Health and Hospice for providing loving care during her final days.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Trego Community Church in Trego, WI. Visitation will begin at 10:00, funeral at 11:00, with a luncheon following. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 at Greendale Cemetery following the luncheon.
