Doris Elizabeth (Featherly) Denninger was born to Lydia (Booth) and Frank Featherly on August 15, 1922 in Spooner, Wisconsin. On December 3, 1942 Doris was joined in marriage to Wilfred Denninger in Trego, Wisconsin. Doris worked at West and Christenson potatoes, Hayward tree nursery, and Adams evergreens. She also cooked at Camp Horseshoe and Camp Jackpine for several years. In 1980 she was hired as head cook at Northwood School and retired in 1988. Doris enjoyed bowling in her younger days, fishing, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Chruch in Minong and enjoyed attending services there.  Doris passed away on Wednesday January 25, 2017 at her home in Minong, Wisconsin.

Doris is survived by one son, John (Judy) Denninger, Minong; six daughters, Audrey (Lloyd) Wallace, Minong; Jean Kiersted, Princeton, MN; Darlene “Muggs” Denninger, Minong; Karen (Dennis) Voges, Minong; Connie Visger, Minong; Vicki Denninger (Larry Wolter) Minong; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 2 step great-great grandchildren, a sister La Nora Hall, and one sister-in-law, Gladys Denninger; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers, two sisters, two sons-in-law, one grandson and one great-granddaughter. 

A funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Minong, Wisconsin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Minong.
