Doris Becker, age 96, a current resident of Spooner, but longtime resident of Trego, died on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Spooner Health.

Doris was born on November 5, 1921, in Ashland, Wisconsin to John and Jenny (Anderson) Hagstrom.  She attended and graduated from Ashland Schools, and on May 3, 1941, she was united in marriage to Carl “Leonard” Becker in Ashland.  Together they lived on a farm near Ashland and later moved to Superior for a year, before moving to a small farm near Trego.  She continued to live on the farm after her husband’s death in 1972 with her 3 younger boys and took care of many of the neighborhood children for many years.  As a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, baking, and raising her children. 

Doris is survived by: her children; Doreen Mascarenas of Lakeville, MN, Ryan (Joann) Becker of Stone Lake, WI, Darryl (Cheryl) Becker of Trego, WI, Ramona (James) Gauger of Burnsville, MN, Rodney (Elizabeth) Becker of Stillwater, MN, Robert (Christine) Becker of Jim Falls, WI, and Lyndon (Lori) Becker of Spooner, WI, 27 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren,  2 great-great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Joyce (John) Hare of Ashland, WI, and Joan (Jack) Kruse of Thonotosassa, FL, and many nieces and nephews. 

Doris is preceded in death by: her husband, parents, brothers and sisters; Robert Hagstrom, Howard Hagstrom, Roy Hagstrom, Wallace Hagstrom, Willis Hagstrom, Elaine Nicholson, Irene Hagstrom, Lucille Becker, and Marion Benson, and great-grandson, Trenton Becker. 

A funeral service will be held for Doris on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Noon at The Full Gospel Church in Shell Lake, WI with Pastor James Gronning officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be later this spring at The Earl Cemetery. 

Memorials are preferred to The Maple Ridge Care Center in Spooner, Wisconsin.
