Doris Ann Cross, age 61, of Stone Lake, WI, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024.

Doris was born July 29, 1963, in Hayward, WI the daughter of Dorothea (Isham) and Ervin “Beany” Cross Sr. She was raised on the LCO Reservation, attended St. Francis Indian Mission until 8th grade, then went onto Hayward High School where she graduated in 1981. Doris was an avid Softball player and had played softball all throughout her high school days and went onto UW Superior to play softball. She has had several Soft Ball Sisters (SBS) (families) during her time playing softball. Doris loved her family, friends, and Soft Ball Sisters (SBS) with her whole heart. She was also an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings. Doris had a heart of gold, kind soul, would do anything for anybody, and help anyway she could. She will surely be missed. Safe Journey Sister!

She is survived by her sisters Di-Z (Goph) Cross & Denise Cross; brothers Ervin (Anna) Cross Jr. & Daniel (Becky) Cross. Doris did not have any children of her own but is survived by many nephews & nieces; and her fur babies Stella & Cocoa B.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents Dorothea & Beany; sister Darlene Cross.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 14, 2024, at St. Francis Solanus Indian Mission in Reserve. Father Karunakar Madanu will officiate with music provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward.

Honorary bearers will be Cory Cross, Karl Menz, Jon Wnuk, Shawn Wnuk, Lisa Cross, Laurie Cross, Nevaeh Cross, Aniyah Cross, Marnie Cross, Angel Potack & Nico Sanchez.
