Donald “Donnie” Roger Erickson, age 71, of Webster, passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2019, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN. 

Donnie was born September 1, 1948, in Webster, to parents, Mary (Hanson) and Roger Erickson. He graduated from Grantsburg High School in 1966. On April 12, 1968, Donnie enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam war. After 4 years of service, he was honorably discharged. 

On April 16, 1994, Donnie was united in marriage to Bea Arendt. 

Donnie worked for the Soo Line Railroad in various areas of N.W. Wisconsin for 27 years. He also worked part-time as a mail carrier in the Voyager Village community for many years. 

Donnie liked to spend time outdoors fishing, hunting and having bonfires with friends. His greatest joy in life was being a grandpa. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. 

Preceding him in death are his parents; sister, Virginia Erickson; brothers-in-law, Randy Arendt and Randy Manthie; and father-in-law, Ed Arendt. 

Donnie is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Bea Erickson; daughters, Rindy Erickson (Kelly) and Kimmy Erickson; granddaughters: Olivia, Megan, Haylee and Jaycee; siblings: Edith Manthie, Gary (Rhonda) Erickson and Linda Baum (Bob); brother-in-law, Doug Arendt; sister-in-law, Kay (John) Stelsel; special friends: Geri, Scott and Vicki, and Mike; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, November 17, 2019, at 4:00pm (visitation from 1-5pm) at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster.
