On the morning of May 12, 2022, a house fire claimed the lives of Donald Lee "Donnie" Albee, 44, and his youngest two children: six year old Conner and 5 year old Emily.

Donnie was born March 4, 1978, in Cumberland, to Donald R. and Pamela (Thompson) Albee and attended school in Cumberland, then worked at the Turkey Store for many years.

Donnie was currently working in roofing for Chris Spring. He enjoyed ice fishing and watching Wisconsin sports teams, but most of all loved spending time with his children.

He is survived by his son, Trent; his mother, Pam Thompson of Cumberland; his father, Donald (Tracy Thompson) Albee of Barronett; siblings: Jessie Haley and her son, Landon Haley, and Derrick Haley; maternal aunts and uncles: Cherry Bekela of Wellington, CO., Christine (Kirk Jerry) Thompson of Barronett and Nancy (Mark Fogelberg) Thompson of Cumberland, Larry (Wanda) Thompson of Cumberland and Jeffrey (Margie) Thompson of Barron; paternal aunts and uncles: James (Lynn) Albee of Balsam Lake, Larry (JoAnn) Albee of Sarona, Tim (Sue) Albee of Chippewa Falls, Tonja (Bill) Metnik of Cumberland, Tammy (Bruce) Hanson of Shell Lake, Sandy (John) Peichel of Cumberland, Kathy (Clarence, III) Bever of Ridgeland; many cousins and other relatives.

A celebration of the lives of Donnie, Conner, Emily Albee will be held from 10 am - 2 pm on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Northern Lakes Community Church in Cumberland followed immediately by a worship service.
