November 12, 1935  -  June 26, 2017 

Donna Mae (Truax) LaPorte, age 81, of Hertel passed away on June 26, 2017 after battling cancer. She was born to William S. and Bernice O. Truax on November 12, 1935 in St. Paul, MN. Donna graduated from South Saint Paul High School in 1953 and became a LPN in 1977 while living in Florida. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Sweet Adelines, and Lakeview Methodist Church.

Donna is survived by; her husband A.J. (Buzz) La Porte of Freeland, MI, her children, Steve (Cindy) Milbrandt of Stacy, MN, and Brian (Deb Berg) Milbrandt of Forest Lake, MN, one sister, Susan (Bruce) Evarts of Perry, NY, two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials are preferred to; The American Cancer Society, Regional Hospice, Spooner, or The Washburn County Animal Humane Society.

A Celebration of Donna's life will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Lakeview United Methodist Church, 23980 County Road X, Hertel, WI 54845. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Spooner Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
