Donna Fae Babineau Age 90, of Rice Lake, WI died Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at the Marshfield Medical Center Eau Claire.

She was born on October 13, 1928 in Big Falls, MN to Adolph and Veranna (Hannigan) Fristad . Donna graduated from high school in Kelliher, MN and was married to Walter Babineau on July 11, 1948 in Kelliher. She took care of her family, loved her cats, enjoyed reading, playing bridge, spending time at their cabin in chetek and traveling to Nevada.

She is survived by a her husband, Walter Babineau; a daughter, Linda Babineau; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, William and Shelly Babineau & James and Jodi Babineau & Vicki Babineau; 11 grandchildren, Brian Babineau, Mark (Sara) Babineau, Kristy (Craig) Olson, Nicholas Babineau, Matt Babineau, Sarah Babineau, Sadie (Steve) Anderson, Brooke Babineau, Spencer Babineau, Sydney Babineau and Kendahl Babineau; 6 great grandchildren, Lily and Noah Olson, Nora Babineau, Ellis, Camilla and Evey Anderson;4 siblings, Grace Harlow, Iris (Bud) Hannemann, Karen (Ron) Streed and Ervin (Cheryl) Fristad; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Veranna Fristad; a son, Walter Scott Babineau; a sister, Shirley Kiel and 2 brothers, Vernon and Adolph Fristad.

Funeral Services will be held at 4PM Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Rev. Susan Oeffler officiating, with interment in the Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake.

Visitation will be held from 2-4PM Sunday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Barron County Humane Society.
