Donald “Donny” Harry Wiesner Age 87, of Rice Lake, WI died Monday, November 4, 2019 at the Heritage Lakeside in Rice Lake.

He was born on November 2, 1932 in Rice Lake to Harry and Clara (Povick) Wiesner. Donny worked on the family farm, American Excelsior, Kuhrt’s Lumber and Bergerons feed mill. He was married to Lila Paulson on June 16, 1954 in Rice Lake. Donny was a simple man and loved a simple life. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and time with his grandkids.

He is survived by 3 children, Joan Kurtzhals of Rice Lake, Bucky Wiesner (Rose Demers) of Canton, WI and Charlie (Sally) Wiesner of Birchwood, WI; 7 grandchildren, Julie, Henry, Merannda, Stephanie, Amanda, Heather and Andrew; 12 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Genevieve Paulson of Cumberland, WI and Dorothy Williams of Rice Lake; many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lila Wiesner; his parents, Harry and Clara Wiesner; a brother, Gerald Wiesner; a sister, Margy Daniels; and his significant other, Lorraine Richter.

Visitation will be held from 11AM-1PM Friday, November 8, 2019 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with interment in the Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated.
